MINDSET: VARIABLE ONE

At Suffer City, we focus on four primary variables for sustaining high performance–Mindset, Nutrition, Movement, and Recovery.
 
And we optimize these variables by answering, as best we can, a series of simple questions. For instance, here are our Mindset questions:
MINDSET
  • What outcome are you focused on?
  • What does the achievement of this outcome mean to you?
    • When your desired outcome is achieved who will benefit, and how?
    • What will you get more of as a result of your outcome being acheived?
  • 0 to 10, how committed are you to this outcome?
    • What are you willing to do in order to achieve it?
 
With detailed answers to these questions you can identify your true intent or desired outcome. Often times people never achieve their aim because they don’t make clear what their aim is.
It’s hard to arrive at a desitination when the destination is unclear or unknown.
Without a clear, compelling, and consise aim to shoot for everything can look like a blury, meaningless mess. You want as meaningful a future and as clear an image of it as possible, but it’s up to you to create it.
 
We encourage our Citizens to script no less than 500 words for each answer to the Mindset questions. These words serve as both, mental software (motivation) and a strategic plan for achievement.
And once you have a clean & compelling motivation coupled with a great strategy for action all that’s left is for you to execute.

  1. So I was curious today driving by and googled what you are.., and your website.. your explanation of mindset and goals is fantastic.. I have a comment. I’m a mental health therapist.. positive psychology and motivation the basis of what my work is., the positives of what you are doing I think will be lost to the corporate gyms simply because your name is the one thing that draws or fails to draw people in..

    Just hate for a small business owner like myself to miss business and start from a step down… because I really love what you are doing..

    Use the term “ overcome city’s” …., or Tenacity.. everything you do appears to be under this positive mindset,, other than your name.. just think about it.. I don live close by.. but I’m. Impressed w your model.. hope you succeed in helping people succeed.,. But I would never think wow… I should go in somewhere that starts w “suffering”. It just doesn’t make me want to walk in.. I wouldn’t pay for someone to make me suffer.

    1. suffer the process…or suffer the result.

      either way, you’re gonna suffer. can’t escape it. and my goal is to be as up front about our service as possible…as well as the results we produce.

      no one in the marketplace produces results like suffer city. and plus…people get to exercise courage just by walking into our establishment.

      if they’re intimidated/scared by the name, yet they still choose to make entry…that’s called bravery…that’s called courage.

      i want the courageous. you don’t need to be fit to start training here, but courage helps. in order to succeed in life, courage is a pre-req; and so, we reward that courage with the best training program on the planet.
